Drainage Services

The Drainage Department maintains the City’s infrastructure that includes open ditches, pump-stations, storm drain lines, and regional detention facilities.

Maintenance processes include: Ditch Cleaning, Dredging, Reprofiling, Inspections Cleaning/Flushing of Manholes & Inlets.

The Streets Maintenance Department maintains 824 centerline miles of streets and reconstructs 45 alleys annually under the Alley Rehabilitation Program.

Maintenance processes include:

POTHOLE PATCHING, CRACK SEALING, ALLEY RECONSTRUCTION, STREET REPAIRS AND RECONSTRUCTION, 16 MILES OF RECYCLED STREET ANNUALLY.

The Sidewalk Department construct 2 miles of sidewalks annually and maintains existing sidewalks, ramps and infrastructure repairs throughout the city.

Maintenance processes include:

NEW INSTALLATION, REMOVE AND REPLACE, REPAIR, GRINDING AND ADA RAMP INSTALLATIONS. 

The Street Cleaning Department maintains 1,648 gutter line miles throughout the City. The entire City is swept a total of 5 cycles annually with a fleet of 7 sweepers.

Maintenance processes include:

STREET SWEEPING AND CURBLINE HERBICIDE APPLICATION.

The Graffiti Department provides abatement services to private and public property throughout the City. These services are free of charge.

Maintenance processes include:

GRAFFITI REMOVAL THROUGH POWER WASHING, PAINT REMOVERS OR MASKING WITH PAINT.
